3 Crafts Using Wax To Confront The Cold
BRR! January is the best time to snuggle up and stay warm, but it’s also a great time to start your winter crafts. Did you know a lot of art supplies use wax? Check out some creative projects you can craft using wax from our facility.
Candles are the perfect simple wax craft you can make! Paraffin wax is most commonly used when making homemade candles. However, some people prefer beeswax, soy wax, palm wax or synthetic waxes. No matter what type of wax you use, there are many candle crafts to choose from using our wax products!
Create a design on wax paper with crayons, wrap it around the candle and melt the design to the candle using a hair dryer. Learn more about this craft.
You can also use a dip dyeing technique with melted crayons to add color to your candles. See how it’s done.
Crayons for Kids
Looking for safe crafts to make with your kids? We found a few simple wax crafts you might like to try with your family.
And we know Christmas is over, but you can also make brightly colored crayon ornaments, too!
Crayons are also made with paraffin wax and sometimes microcrystalline wax. Microcrystalline wax has finer crystals than paraffin, which makes it a harder wax. It is also more flexible than paraffin wax. See what wax options we offer so you can make your own crayons to use in future projects!
Perhaps you prefer a little wine with your crafts? We sell bottle sealing wax that provides a strong, flexible coating and secure seal while giving it a unique look. You can also emboss a logo or image to your wax seal. Make this your next craft.
