The minimum order quantity depends on the product you are looking for, but it is generally between 1,000 pounds.

We offer a wide variety of formats from 1 lb. blocks, slabs or pastilles to tote bins and tank trucks of liquid material.

We offer many different packaging options to meet your needs including cartons, bags, sleeve boxes and gaylords.

Where are your products manufactured?
Every product Blended Waxes, Inc. produces is manufactured in our sole facility located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

What are the steps to place an order?
Whether you are ordering one of our standard products, or a custom blend, first we will confirm the product works for your needs by going through as many iterations as needed.  Once you confirm the product meets your requirements together, we will share customer and vendor information (Payment Information, Billing Information, Credit References, etc.).  After the paperwork is completed our Customer Relations Team will receive and confirm orders through email communication (orders@blendedwaxes.com).  The team will provide the expected lead time and stay in communication at necessary steps throughout the fulfillment process.

Bottle Sealing Wax:

Bottle Sealing Wax

Can you color match the wax to a logo?
Yes, we can blend waxes to match a variety of colors.

Are custom colors available?
Yes! Custom colors are available by request with a minimum order of 100 pounds of wax.

What can I use to melt the wax in?
A container with a temperature setting on it works best. We would recommend a hot plate with a metal beaker and thermometer.

How do I dip the bottle into the wax?
Typically, you will hold the bottle upside down and dip the neck of the bottle into the wax. Remove the bottle and let the excess wax drip off before turning the bottle right side up.

How much wax do I need?
You can usually dip 25-30 bottles per pound of wax. The size of your container will also play a factor into how much wax you will need. A larger container will need more wax to create enough depth to dip your bottles.

Candle Wax:

What types of waxes are available?
Blended Waxes has a number of standard candle waxes that are petroleum based and all-natural.  If you are looking for something more specific, we use and have access to a vast range of petroleum and plant-based options.

What is the format of your candle wax?

Our candle waxes are available in 10 lb slabs, and in pastilles.  The 10 lb slabs are packaged in a 44 lb case, while the pastilles are packaged in a 45 lb carton.  Of course, if your demand is higher, we can offer our blends in tanker truck and rail car quantities.

What wick is right for my candle?
While the Blended Waxes technical team can answer questions regarding the wax specifically, we do not recommend specific wick sizes as there are too many variables such as fragrance, dyes, and candle size.

What is the minimum order for a candle blend?
If you are interested in one of our candle blends or you are looking to develop your own, the minimum order quantity is 2,000 lbs.  For orders less than this quantity reach out to us for a list of distributors providing our products.

Any of Blended Waxes standard products intended for contact with food are FDA approved for the application, and comply with 21 CFR172.886 or 21 CFR178.3710.

What colors are available?
There are 11 standard colors available and listed here.  If you would like a custom color, this can be done for any order over 1,000 lbs.  Note that all of our pigments are FDA approved.

What temperature should the wax be while dipping?
Blended Waxes recommends starting with the wax about 20 degrees Fahrenheit above the congealing point of the wax, and then adjusting the temperature higher for a thinner coat, and lower for a thicker coat.  Please note, that this is a base line and finish of the wax will differ depending on the cheese, the equipment, the amount of moisture, and the ambient conditions.
