A fire damaged part of our facility Sept. 3, but that didn’t stop our plans to expand our warehouse. As our business has grown, so has our need for space. We began our warehouse expansion project Sept. 19, and it is expected to be completed in December.
Our building partner, Bayland Buildings, Inc., has already painted the exterior wall, cleaned up the area, removed the fence that surrounded our previous employee parking lot and broke ground to pour footings. Now they are preparing to build the walls for the new warehouse space.
Our warehouse expansion will add 7,540 square feet to our building. The new space will function as a blending and packaging area and also a storage area for raw materials, finished goods and packaging.
In the blending area, we will add four new tanks to the 91 tanks we already have. Two of the tanks will be used for storage of raw materials. The storage tanks will hold 21,000 gallons of raw materials. The other two tanks will be used for blending and can hold 9,600 gallons. Along with the new tanks, we will also install a drum filler so drums can be filled where the products are stored and blended.
The storage area of the expansion will have approximately 4,000 square feet of floor space, which is enough room to store 500 pallets on the ground.
This expansion will increase our capacity for blending and storage to improve efficiency. If you are interested in learning more about our facility, check out our virtual facility tour.
