How Wax Is Used Around The Holidays
Happy holiday season! Many people celebrate by making special crafts or candies to give as gifts this time of year. Learn about the wax products used to help crafters and bakers:
Holiday Treats
Waxed paper is coated in a low-mid melt point wax on one or both sides of a low weight sheet of paper. The result is a semi-translucent, shiny piece of paper perfect for storing cookies and candies!
Some novice bakers think parchment paper and waxed paper are the same thing. While both papers are coated and used to keep treats from sticking together, they have very different uses. Parchment paper can be used in the oven because it has a heat-resistant coating. Waxed paper is used for storing treats once they are done baking.

Bottle Sealing
Top off your homemade bottled creation with bottle sealing wax for an extra special look. The wax is available in a variety of colors and finishes from metallic gold to bright blue. You can use bottle sealing wax to top off perfume, whiskey, wine, syrup and beer bottles. Our bottle sealing wax creates a strong, flexible and secure coating.
Lip Balm
Use beeswax to create a moisturizing lip balm. Beeswax is the perfect base for lip balm because it contains natural emulsifiers, which help keep moisture – perfect for dry, chapped lips in the winter.
Candles
You can use a variety of wax types to make candles. Paraffin is a popular candle wax choice because it is cost effective and contains no additives.
